Preliminary Source 1

Times Website

From this Times article, I learned a lot about how to pull out of Iraq and the pros and cons of withdrawing. From the eyes of the Bush administration, by pulling out of Iraq, we'd unleash a chaotic bloodbath between the Sunni's and the Shi'ites. By pulling out of Iraq, the US casualties would plummet, and we would save ten billion dollars a month we spend on the war. The best (or least worst) way to pull out would have to be a slow and steady withdrawal. This course of action would limit US casualties. This method, would be a very long and drawn out process. Pulling 30000 troops and personnel would take ten months. Then there is another 50000 civilians who would want to leave with the troops. With about 45000 ground vehicles needing to be brought back to the US could take a considerable amount of time.

I still have some questions after reading this article:
What are the Presidential candidates views on pulling out of Iraq?
What are native Iraqi civilian views on withdrawing?
What are the surrounding countries views on The US removing itself from Iraq?
